In the common areas of our school, students are expected to follow R.O.C.K for positive behaviors.
This is part of our school-wide PBIS process. PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a national program to improve student academics and to promote positive behaviors. Students are taught what Responsible, Organized, Cooperative, and Kind behaviors look and sound like for each of the common areas at the beginning of the school year, and it's reinforced throughout the school year. Teachers model, reinforce, and reward positive behaviors.
Below you can see how your child can have ROCKstar behavior in the hallways!
R - respect the privacy and property of others
O - walk on the right side of the hallway and stop at the stop signs
C - use a level zero voice during the school day
K - be kind to others
