Grade Representatives

Job Description:

It is the job of the Grade Representative to establish close contact with the parents/guardians of his/her grade’s students.  This can be accomplished by introducing yourself to the parents/guardians.  It will be essential to create a method of communicating with them.  You will work closely with the Homeroom Partners and Teachers to coordinate classroom parties and PTA event participation for your grade.  The Grade Representative will facilitate his/her grade’s participation in the following:

•    Teacher/Staff Appreciation
•    Box Tops Collection
•    Popcorn & Pickles
•    Silent Auction
•    Fall Carnival

An important role of the Grade Representative is to promote PTA meetings/programs to your grade and to bring ideas, concerns and suggestions from your grade to the PTA board. 

Requirements:

Grade Representatives are required to be a member of the PTA, attend all monthly board meetings and all general meetings.  You are expected to be present at all PTA sponsored events and functions, unless excused by the PTA President or President –Elect, prior to the event/function.  If you have any questions about PTA sponsored events/functions see the PTA Master Calendar or ask the PTA President or President-Elect.
